  1. Hi Ed

I have just come across your blog post this evening. It is wonderful coming across someone with a background in theology who writes for a living. I’m just finishing my masters thesis in theology, specializing in Christian spirituality and am married to a Methodist minister. My studies have awakened a desire within me to write, so I look forward to reading your posts.

I also downloaded your book Creating Space tonight. The bit I have read so far is inspiring. Thank you.

  2. Ed, noted in your most recent newsletter you have chose to give up some social media time for Lent. I wanted to share with you that I have given it up entirely for the full 40 days, and you know I don’t miss it. I know it will be important for marketing my book some day but for my life where it is currently, the extra time is a bonus of the grace kind. I know several other writers who are doing something similar. Thanks for all you do for the faith and writing communities.

  3. In two of the Denomination Derby posts, it refers to clicking on the “church” category to find the rest. I have not been able to find any list of posts or categories of posts, just links forward and back. Where should I find the category link?

    Thanks

    1. Hi Roger. Sorry for the confusion. The categories are at the bottom of the blog if you scroll all of the way down. It’s a click-down menu. You can also look at the individual post page and the category link is right above the tags. I hope that helps. I would like to update that in the near future to make that less difficult to find.

  4. Hello Ed, I did a Google search on “20’s are confusing and a link to your post popped up. Thank you for restoring hope in me. Social media really played a role in how I have become so discouraged. I’m in my mid 20’s and I started getting really discouraged when I turned 22. I felt like I couldn’t find myself and made a series of bad choices and wasted a lot of time. Reading your post made me reflect on what I have done thus far to start making a change in my life, and you are absolutely right I can make something of myself and it isn’t wrong or right how long or short it takes. Thank you so much for writing that. I just wanted you to know that this is helpful and has me feeling hopeful.

    1. Hi Ed, I also came across your post entitled “When Your 20’s Feel Like Darkness that Could Ruin Your Entire Life” – I just want to say thank you for sharing your insights. What a great post indeed. I can relate in many ways. I especially like your advice on acknowledging mistakes as life lessons and how all our experiences shape us into who we become and who we are meant to be.
